Working on Reaper and Garageband

So I’m playing around with a couple of my electronic, or as I like to say ‘amatronic’, pieces. One in Garageband, the other in Reaper. The sounds in Reaper safe to me more stripped back, basic synth sounds with many outdated tones, but I like to play around with that for a kind of ‘nerdy’ feel.

But Garageband is very easy, and lots of fun on the ipad app. I’ll start a tune with basic beats on the ipad, being more intuitive because you’re actually playing with your fingers rather than typing on the keyboard or inputing midi notes, so I tend to play around with it a lot. And the synth sounds aren’t bad for a virtually free program.

So I hope to have a demo or two out for December…
